Capturing clear and usable images in the dark has long been a challenge for surveillance cameras. Without a clear light source, a surveillance camera’s ability to capture details such as faces and licence plates rapidly decreases.In order to overcome this, artificial sources of light can be added to the scene, the most common of which is Infrared (IR) illumination.
